FAQ
What make Simply Maed Co. soap different?
Our soaps are handcrafted in small batches in Watsontown, Pennsylvania using a thoughtfully chosen base of saponified oils of tallow, shea butter, coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil, and fresh goat milk.
We focus on simple, time-honored ingredients that nourish and support the skin barrier — without unnecessary fillers or harsh additives. Every bar is made with care, intention, and attention to detail.
Is your soap good for sensitive skin?
Our formulas are created with gentle, nourishing ingredients that are commonly well-suited for dry and sensitive skin types.
We avoid unnecessary additives and heavily fragranced formulations. However, every skin type is unique, so we always recommend patch testing before full use.
What does “saponified oils” mean?
Saponification is the traditional soap making process where oils are transformed into soap.
When we list “saponified oils of tallow, shea butter, coconut oil, and castor oil,” it means those nourishing oils have been carefully blended and turned into a gentle cleansing bar.
Why goat milk?
Goat milk is naturally rich in vitamins and lactic acid, which gently exfoliates and hydrates.
It creates a creamy lather and helps soothe dry or reactive skin, making it a beautiful base for sensitive skin friendly formulations.
Does your soaps contain fragrance?
Some bars are lightly scented using essential oils or carefully selected fragrance oils, while others are completely unscented for those who prefer ultra-gentle options.
When we do use fragrance oils, they are:
- Cruelty-free
- Prop 65 ingredient free
- Carcinogen free
- Vegan
- Phthalate-free
- Paraben-free
- Mutagen-free
- Skin safe
- Free from reproductive, organ, and acute toxins
Each product description clearly lists scent details so you can choose what’s best for your skin.
How long does a bar last?
With proper care, a bar typically lasts 3-5 weeks depending on frequency of use.
To extend the life of your soap:
- Keep it dry between uses
- Use a draining soap dish
- Avoid letting it sit in standing water
Are your soaps safe for children?
Many customers choose our simpler, unscented bars for children. We recommend reviewing the ingredient list and consulting your pediatrician if you have specific concerns.
